March 21, WCC

.

Some time I'll have to take a pic of the glass-ceilinged atrium in Washtenaw Community College's beautiful Morris Lawrence building.

For the moment, all I have are these flowers, sharing a big planter with a very large ficus tree.

Washtenaw County and various generous donors have ensured that our community college has a large and lovely campus.

This sculpture can be seen through the wall of windows in the atrium mentioned above.

I am not an enormous fan of shiny stuff, but I do like reflections, and shiny stuff is reflective............

Benches.

The benches above are just to the right of this pond.

Teasel.

Reflections and ripples.

Canada goose (though I bet this one is a gander; he was pretty assertive about staying between me and his family).

These used to migrate, but now they are here year round. It's important to watch your step, literally as they make a serious amount of mess on the ground, and figuratively as they are territorial and very protective of their little ones, when they have little ones. This guy was part of a group of 6 or 8 -- Mom and Dad and last year's brood, I wonder.............

I wanted to walk through where they were standing, so I slowly approached and they slowly retreated into the pond.

More ripples and reflections.

Last year's flowers.

One last shot of reflections. I liked the grass.

This was a big enough feather that I bet it belonged to a goose.

Barberry.

This looks to me like an estuary photographed from a satellite.

Salt on asphalt.

Looking up at last year's crab apples.

Great pics as always! I've always liked teasel even though they're a weed!
