Once upon a time, my daughter took a trip and brought me a box of Shrek bandaids when she came home.
Bandaids are the kind of thing that a person might not need very often, but when you need them, nothing else will do.
Last week I hit my thumb on something (I have no idea what; I didn't realize I had done it until later when I saw blood), and broke the corner of the nail. The piece of nail is still there, still stuck. Partly.
The situation would definitely get uglier if I were to hit it again, or snag it and rip it off.
So I've been wearing bandaids 24/7. I bet I've been through more of them in the last week than in the last 10 years.
This is the last of my Shrek bandaids.

All good things come to an end, even boxes of Shrek bandaids.
Alas.
On a more cheerful note, here is what we had for dessert this evening. Golden brown and delicious, as Alton Brown would say............
Yum.
