June 16

.

Poppy. I think the poppies were at their peak when we were in Baltimore. All the other ones I've looked at since we got back were really past their prime. This, one, too, was past its prime, but not by as much as the others...........

Trandescantia? I don't know if I couldn't see all the activity in the center, or just didn't notice when I took the pic. Seeing it on "the big screen" was one of those "oh my" moments............

Some sort of daisy, I bet. Love the orange and purple in the centers.

That was lunch time, this is after work.

Serviceberries, almost ready to pick.

Unidentified weed.

My first image of a daylily for 2009.

Astilbe, I am pretty sure. This is the first one I've ever taken pics of, ever.

By the Detroit Edison parking lot.

Rose.

More roses.

Layers, layers, layers, layers, layers, layers, and rusty staples. What's not to like?

I have no idea what this is, but I love it.

Vicki,
don't you think the centers of poppies look like sea urchins? I really love the image of the layers of papers...good ideas for the class!

I need orange said...

Yes indeed.

So many things to love about poppies. The urchin-y centers, the millions of stamens, the papery petals, and of course poppies are ORANGE. :-) With purple centers. :-)

I love the layers and layers and layers on the telephone poles, too. With random hints of words. And rusty staples.

Makes me wonder about gluing layers and layers and layers of paper to something and then sanding...............

And certainly layers and layers of colors and shapes ... that's part of what I want to do for class.....

:-)
