A couple of shots from my office window.
You'd think I could remember, from year to year, whether these are walnuts or ailanthus. I can't seem to. I think they are ailanthus.
The flowers are scented. But not in a good way. When they are blooming like this, you can readily smell them from the parking lot in front of the building, but you don't want to............ At least *I* don't want to.
I've been trying to think of how to describe the smell. The closest I have come so far is ... you know how boxwood smells? There's something about that scent that I don't like. These have something that makes me think of what I don't like about boxwood, only worse.
It's not a downright nasty smell, but there's something about it that I do not care for.

It was another beautiful day.

Serviceberries.
These got ripe a lot faster than I expected. I ate quite a few from this shrub at the library parking lot, and then from some others at the Huron/First/Washington/Ashley parking lot.
Yum.
Sticky.

Several months ago, when it was still cold out, we saw hand-painted decoration at Bank of Ann Arbor.
Here's some more. You can tell from its worn look that it's been here for a while. I used to walk by here all the time, because there was a used book store next door. Now it's a comic book store, and I am more interested in the other side of Main Street (with Peaceable Kingdom).
I'm glad I went this way on the 23rd. Nice embellishment. I like all the different greens, and the swirls and dots, and that there are so many kinds of flowers......

Here's our favorite yard-with-milkweed. And daylilies.

This looks like lavender, but I didn't smell anything.........

Asiatic lily (which didn't have a noticeable scent, either).

Clover.

Hosta.

Aliums.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a white alium before.

Pinks.
