We've enjoyed this house with its yellow doors on previous visits to this neighborhood.
This is the first time I've noticed its dragonfly lights.
Next door to the prev.
They have two enormous pokeweeds. These are dramatic and interesting plants, with their red stems, large leaves, and heavy fruit load, especially when the berries are ripe and purple.
Unfortunately they are also seriously poisonous...........
There are also hops in this yard. I'm not sure I've ever seen hops in person before. I recognized the pods, and the size of the vine (they grow to be very tall -- more than 12 or 15 feet, if supported). This one is growing on a telephone-pole-support cable.
I thought they were supposed to smell good, but didn't notice any smell. Maybe they only smell good when blooming........

They are cool, aren't they? I wish I'd been there at the right time to smell them, as they are supposed to smell good............
