I bet these are variations on a sedum "Autumn Joy" theme........
They are really rather exotical flowers, but small enough that I wouldn't have noticed, without the macro focus on the camera.
Very popular with stingy things.

A hibiscus is not really all that big a plant, considering how big the flowers are....
We have a large and voracious crop of Japanese beetles this year, and they love hibiscus. This plant is soldiering on, and flowering prolifically.........
