Farmers' market.
Cute leetle fat squashes. Each of these would be a big-but-comfortable handful for me. I don't like to eat summer squash, but I like to look at the cute ones.
This is the shape of an acorn squash (winter squash) ... it's too early for winter squash, so I'm not sure. They are pretty though, aren't they?
Flowers and more flowers.
We bought raspberries, peaches, cucumbers, and green beans. We looked at corn, but having just gotten some at a farm stand for 20 cents an ear, the 50 cents they wanted at the market seemed steep, so we declined.
Later in the afternoon we went on tv reconnaissance, and, since we passed a library branch, you know we stopped in. I didn't try these for comfort, but I like the design. Particularly contrasted with the bamboo............
