tooth update, with wildflowers

.

You'll recall that a month and a half ago I was having a bad time with a temporary crown falling out. Over and over.

From the fifth time it was glued in until August 27th, it stayed put. Hallelujah. I really didn't want to have to deal with that when I was out of state.............

On the 27th it was replaced with my permanent crowns (one temporary crown covered the tops of two ground-off teeth).

No wonder all this toothy stuff is so expensive. Look at the model of my teeth/jaw that was made so the crowns would fit properly. (With numbers on it, like a museum specimen.....)

That hingey-looking black part is ... a hinge.

You can see that the temp (the thin white plastic) is quite beaten up......

Look at all the sculpting on the teeth, to enable the crowns to be securely cemented in for the long term!

Kinda cool to see what the inside-your-mouth surfaces of your teeth look like.......

I was thinking I might want the temporary crown, for an art project???, and they asked me if I wanted the mold, as it would just be tossed now that the crowns were in place. I figured I might as well at least get some pics.................

These teeth did not have root canals. They are pretty sensitive to cold, still. I'm hoping they settle down. Soonish.

And hoping even more that I need no dentistry other than routine cleaning for a long long time!

There is a branch of the library across the street from the dentist. Libraries draw me with an almost irresistible force....................

Our library system is very big on being green. This is the rain garden which absorbs the runoff from the library's parking lot.

The yellow is goldenrod, I bet the pink on the left edge is joe pye weed, but what the darker purple is, I don't know......... Asters, maybe? I was far enough away that I couldn't see the shape of the flowers.

Not sure what this is, either.

I didn't see the spider in camo until I got this up on the big screen......

I mentioned that Michigan-state-flower/orange-barrel thing......

I didn't see, until I put this on the computer, the front-end-loader in the rearview mirror on the right................ (as always, click on a pic to embiggen)

Wonder why they wet down the gravel.................
