I'd had my eye on this red leaf for a couple of days. It was between the back steps and the fence, so not much wind to shift it......
On the 21st I finally tried to take its pic.
I must have had the camera on distance rather than closeup.
Sigh.

A good thing about failed pics is that I am much more likely to experiment on them than pics which work for me with less futzing.
This one has been cropped, poster-edged, and then frescoed on top of the poster-edging.
I'm not crazy about it, but I like it better than the original!

Fooling around until it was time to get in the car and go to work. Here is my planter with mint, basil, and parsley.
And, because it is behind our house, a wiffle ball (bottom, a bit left of center).........

On the same "because it's our house" note, a broken golf tee on the patio.

The more I looked at the prev, the more enamored I became of the curve of the teeny plants (green against the brick), and the red leaf.........
I got rid of the end of the golf tee (by writing brick and dirt over it), and likewise the too-pale paint scrapings, and got this..........
Which I definitely like better than the prev, but wish I had been able to capture the whole curve of the plants (like the part I chopped, on the left).
I'll have to see if I can do something with the baby plants, another day......

Ginkgo leaves, at work.
