You know you are having a Good Errand Day when your perambulations send you to two libraries.
We started at the farmers' market, where we got some more russet and winesap apples.
We dropped some letters off at the post office, and then our daughter called. She had some time to chat as she walked to work, so I sat outside the library talking to her so I wouldn't disturb all the other patrons until she got to work. Then I joined my better half inside and picked up the books that were on hold for me.

Since I work downtown, I have them hold books for me there. My better half prefers a branch with easier parking, so his books hold at the branch south of town, on the west side. We stopped there and got his books, and then headed over to Target to pick up a few things.
Spotted in the parking lot at Target. Advice I should probably be taking........

Target has a batch of these giant (concrete?) balls in front, where another store might have more pedestrian concrete bollards.
Gotta prefer a nice red sphere.........

O my.
Don't know why this took me by surprise; we were in here just before Halloween, and they had all their Christmas-tree stuff for sale even then.
But I wasn't really emotionally prepared to be greeted by all this, two weeks before Thanksgiving!
Wanting to snitch some of those white snowflake thingies to use as stencils..........
