I needed to run some errands on the 11th.

I went out to get into the minivan, and noticed that her tires were majorly squishy.

Oops. Sigh. Definitely time to go visit Discount Tire.

I seriously love Discount Tire. The guys there are very nice and helpful, and they will fill up your tires for you, for free. Even if you didn't purchase said tires from them.

The 11th was cooooold, and I hated to make someone come out and help me, but I couldn't go anywhere on those tires, either. (The tires are about two years old, and have less than 5,000 miles on them. And I did buy them from Discount Tire.)

I decided to entertain myself while I waited.

I don't know why they have tennis balls and red duct tape on the ends of the jacks' pump handles........ But the red duct tape made me think of the way weapons in the Society for Creative Anachronism are marked (I believe red duct tape shows where weapons are sharp -- the point of a pike, the edge of a sword). Then I wondered just what sort of weapons these might be, given that the part on the ground is very heavy, and the sharp part is the part in the air? Hmmmmm.........





It was cold, but blue and sunny.





I was victorious in the completion of my errands.

Heading home. Four-ish, I think it was. On a Friday, it is definitely getting on for rush hour at four..................
