I found this on etsy. He is made of felted wool. His maker also had a variety of egg-shaped felted people, including nativity sets....... I guess she's taking a break right now, but if you check in here in a few weeks, you may enjoy checking out her wares............
This was supposed to be a lump of coal, but he is such a lovely dark-chocolate color.... I think he is a truffle.
But if he is a lump of coal, I like the way he smiles in a satisfied and knowing way at those of us who have always been the bad one. The not-nice one. The one who notices when things are wrong, and who speaks up. The one who is not saying "Thank you, sir, may I have another"..............................
I should have put him on a darker background for his portrait.....................
