sometimes, it's the little things that make your day

.

Sometimes, you just need what you need.

I mean, you could slice bread without a bread knife, but a bread knife will do a better job.

And when you need this, well, really, there's no acceptable substitute.

And when you need this, there really truly is no substitute.

I have a new(ish) sewing machine, and (alas!) the bobbins that fit my old one don't work in the new one. I think I got a few bobbins with the new one, but I don't know where they are. (There are reasons I never show you the "sewing" room..........)

One (1) bobbin is really not enough bobbins.

I mean. If you need to change thread colors, you either have to use up the thread on your one (1) bobbin, first, or you have to pull the old thread off. And if you pull it off, you can either leave it in a nice neat heap, hoping you'll use it one day, or you can toss it. They probably both result in the same thing in the end -- a waste of however much thread was on the bobbin.

I hate waste. Even of several yards of thread....................

I needed more bobbins!

Ebay has everything. For $20, delivered to my mailbox, I got 50 bobbins *with* cases.

Happy, happy, joy, joy.

I didn't see these as a goofy face until I got them up on the "big screen." I decided I wasn't anal enough to re-photograph, not because they are blurry, and not because they are unintentionally goofy.

There is a credit card TV commercial recently that is a series of "faces" created by objects.
Quite creative.
