going to the deh-en-tist.........

.

After about two decades of going to the dentist once a year and being told "everything looks great!" I am now in a phase of going in and being told "this tooth needs a crown, and that one needs its filling replaced, and this other one needs a new filling, and that other one needs a crown, too."

Sigh.

I try hard not to feel abused, but somehow I just can't feel nurtured when my teeth are being drilled.

If I have to need health care, can't I please need massage? Accupuncture? Please? Instead of dentistry?

On the way home, I consoled myself with a leisurely stop at the scrapbook store. They really have paper for EVERYthing. For each high school in town. !!! In the 12"x12" size.

For every sport. For hobbies, professions, vacations, relationships........

I enjoyed poking around, and I did part of my share of keeping my local merchants afloat with a purchase of two sorts of stenciling color -- a dabbing bottle of black (not sure if ink or paint), and a spray ink in lime green -- and some new blades for my slidey paper cutter.

Yay.

(I don't want to live where there is no snow, but I can understand the appeal of living somewhere like Los Angeles where one can spray paint in all seasons of the year......)

The weather right here in southeast Michigan was amazing around noon. Clear, blue, warm. I left my coat in the car and was fine with just a flannel shirt over my tshirt for the short trips from the car into the building and back.

Nice.
