Last night the snow plows came by.
We have been hearing that the budget crunch will result in much less plowing than usual.
On the other hand, we haven't had much snow. Last night there were at least two plows, going round and round and round. And around some more.
Cynically wondering if overtime pay is the driver, rather than an actual need to scrape the already-mashed-down snow off the street. Especially as no more snow is predicted......
Plowing, even when there wasn't much to plow, leaves the ends of driveways clogged with clotted and congealed snow/ice/dirt. Unless the undercarriage of your car is quite high off the ground, removing this mess from the end of your driveway is a good idea.
We went out into the bright and sunny blue morning to do just that.
When I look out my windows (or around my neighborhood), and what I see is congested with branches and twigs and wires and branches and houses and cars and branches and streets and more branches ... well, I just don't feel like I can *breathe*.
I really do NOT want to live where I would have to drive to every last thing I want to get to, but I wonder if the net gain would be worth it, if I could *breathe* when I look out the window or step out the door.................
I feel that essentially everything I want to take pics of, looking out my window, comes out like this. "What were we looking for? O yeah, that red thing, buried behind all the twigs, branches, sticks, and branches."
Sigh.
Cardinal, tulip tree.

Some people really like capturing all the Urban Stuff. Not moi, but I feel driven to it, when all I can get is too much ... clutter.
The compostables bin is the big one. The other is the trash bin. I am looking forward to getting a recyclables bin. I'm not sure it's a good idea to go in the direction of all the sorting being done Somewhere Else, but since I don't get to influence the already-made decision, I can look forward to being able to dump all the stuff in one bin and wheel it out to the curb regardless of wind and weather.

I know what you mean, I feel every photo I take I am dodging the power lines out of the frame...but...that cardinal!! We do not get visitation rights with cardinals.
I was standing on the driveway, and he was up in the tree. Thank goodness for 6x optical zoom, even on the little camera! :-) Then I cropped what I got, fairly firmly.
Wish there wasn't a twig between us and his face, but there it is.
I kinda like the tulip tree seeds, too, truth be told......
As for the external clutter about which I can do nothing (short of moving to the beach!), I ought to follow your Mango Studio lead and work on the interior space I have (currently chock full of ... junk)........
I really ought to work on the whole house, paring down the junk and working on displaying the Good Stuff................
Right after I finish my novel......
