Wibble's pathology report

Well, it came back as a cyst lined with epithelials (skin cells rather than tooth cells).

I didn' think to ask the person who called (not the doc) if that was different, in terms of prognosis, from a dentigerous cyst......

I think I'm going to assume it's not different.

"It may come back; keep an eye out."

Yep.

I'll do that.



Definitely dodged a bullet this time.

Whew.

Whew!

When we picked up Wibbs last week the doc was very positive about outcome. He believed at that time that even if more radical surgery was required (removal of part of the jawbone in the front), none of it would have a lasting negative effect on Wibb's health or longevity.

Having the pathologist confirm "cyst" (rather than something nastier) is a confirmation of that good prognosis, I believe.

Yay!
