The snow we got yesterday (and night before last) was definitely the most for this year.
I'd told my better half that he would be able to put the minivan in the drive when he got home from work (so that when the plows came in the night the van wouldn't get plowed in).
I'm not sure what time I went out to start dealing with that......
There was a lot more snow than I thought.
This is an "after" pic -- Wilbur doesn't have enough hair to be out, just hanging around, while I shovel. Cold never bothered the corgis (until it was well below zero; 22 below, F, was too cold even for them!), but Wib's hair is way shorter than theirs. He came out after I was done shoveling, and was only out while I was documenting.
In any case, I'll bet there was nearly a foot of snow in some places!
It was the wet heavy kind this time, in contrast to last time's fluff.

I just wish I knew how many tons of snow I moved yesterday. Hundreds of shovelfuls, weighing ... ???
In the evening, as we watched the ice dancers finish their Olympics, I finished the slipper.
I don't like the look of this as an object as much as the test slipper, but I think it's going to function much better. Stay on better. Keep my ankle warmer.
I think this is a go.
Now I just need to make another one just like it, and I will be done. Huzzah.

We could use a little of that snow here in Vancouver! It looks so fluffy and clean and nice and cool....errr cold, brrrr..... The ice dancers were all amazing wern't they. We're all so proud of our "Moir Virtue"
If you see me unsub its just that i realized i really like going to the blog sites to read my fav blogs rather than from my email.
We didn't get much snow for most of the winter, but the last two weeks have been very snowy!
Today is not a day I want to be outside -- not that cold (mid 20s F), but very windy.........
I always want to see the competitors do well. I don't really care who wins, usually, as long as they are happy with their effort.
So very much pressure is put on these kids to do well. I think it is awful when they feel that they let their country down when they don't do as well as everyone hoped. Carrying the weight of a whole country's expectation is too much to ask, I think............
Yes theres always the winners and then those who don't win but no losers. The athletes, their families and their friends all invest so much time and effort that it becomes a personal goal. As well, those on the podium do take home $ as well and for some it'll pay for their training for the next Olympics which usually includes wonderful travel opportunities, living expenses and a great life style that goes with all the hard work.
