car, in parking lot

.

I'm not sure why this caught my eye. The car in the otherwise-empty parking lot. The sky. The poles and wires and towers and whatnot...............

Here's what the camera remembered (darker than I remember it).

First I cropped (tilted) and removed the stains on the curb.

I thought I was sort of keeping track of what I did from image to image, but I realized as I started thinking about posting this that the notations I put with the pics were probably wrong.

I bet I lightened it, and I know it has a watercolor filter.

I was losing the wires with the filter, so I know that I made a copy of the image as a new layer, and then reduced the opacity so that the wires (from the original) would show through.

After that, I began to play with the blending modes for the layers, and the rest of these are different blending modes (which I thought I was documenting as I went, but I wasn't).

I think it is so cool that I can get something different with just a couple of clicks.....

I believe this one is my fave. Kind of like the halo going on around the car (and a bit around the tree trunk, too).

Looking at these now (interesting the different things I see when looking at a small version!) -- if I wanted to mess with this more, I might go back and get rid of that grease stain (or whatever it is) on the pavement to the left of the car.

Well, hey.

Why just talk about it when we can *do* it?

And what if it were a big brighter all over?

There.
