Oh, I love crocus. It's too hot here for them unless they're kept in the fridge over the winter (same with tulips). But we have many many violets and johnny jump ups!

I love pretty much anything with actual color at this time of year!

The golden yellow crocus are my favorites of the very early flowers....

Penni, we are having a weird year.

We went from tons of snow everywhere to the temps of late spring, pretty much overnight. March was way warmer than usual.

Surely hoping (SURELY hoping!) that is not a portent for the rest of the year! You can have the too-warm-ness. Really. I'd much rather have a "typical average Michigan March" than have it be warm now and warmer than usual later, too!

I've seen that, and I didn't like it!
