March 30, walking home

.

That harsh sunny-day late-afternoon light is not my favorite.

I should go by the persimmon tree on my way to work, and get some shots of a persimmon or two in the kinder light on my office windowsill.

Clay Gallery display window. Painted on the window is a notice for a raku show in May. I like the shadows of the letters on this pot (which I do not think is raku, but I could be wrong).

Love this "view of Europe from space" platter.

I like the color and the carved decoration.

Our favorite First/Washington/Ashley/Huron parking lot's crocuses.

The yellow ones are earlier, and have different stuff going on in the middle.....

I saw daffodils a day or so before this, but I couldn't get near them without trampling other growing things.

I am not sure if this is squill. Maybe. Maybe not.

Nice of them to share a bouquet with passers-by.

Tree bones against a white house and a blue sky.

You can see the maple whose branches are at the top of this image is blooming. (Red bits.)

Closeup of maple flower.

Crinkly branches and brick chimney against a blue sky.

At this season the eye wanders back and forth between srhiveled persimmons and bright crocus, between maple flowers and last year's oak leaves.

Another in the "leaves are not flat" series.
