Last year's three-dimensional sycamore leaf.

Forsythia.

Maple flowers.

Hellebore.

I pointed the camera up into the flower, and tried to hold still as I took several shots.
Got one sharp one!

Have you got a guess????

This is one of those round "see what's coming" mirrors, positioned on the side of a parking structure. You can see the library and Tower Plaza reflected.
West Park, torn up.

Small dog, large shadow.
"Small" being relative, of course. One day that week we encountered a dachshund who was very leery of a towering eager-to-greet Wilbur, and another day a tiny little white fluffball (who could easily have walked under his belly) came roaring (can you roar with a high-pitched voice?) out from her back yard, ordering him to GET *OFF* HER PROPERTY!
(insert usual rant about off-leash dogs! Wilbur was a perfect gentleman and no harm befell anyone. The young woman who should have had the leash on the little fluffball came from the back yard, scooped her up, and removed her from the curb where another couple of steps would have taken her into the street.....)
Sigh!
Ok.
My dog. On leash.

The first time ever we are ahead of you... our maples have leaves.
Ask your foodie daughter about making pesto out of maple tree flower pods... The bright green pod that forms and turns into the flower. It's the 'new' thing here...
INTERESTING.
I'm a bit late on the up-take, but I will pass along the idea!
Thanks.
