Incipient serviceberries. Washington/Ashley/Huron/First parking lot.

Viburnum. Same parking lot as above.

West Park. All torn up.
Looking at the way this has been scraped, I'm thinking that they are figuring that "improving the park" means paving more of it. Boo. Hiss. !!!

Walking north on 7th. There are several houses on 7th between two places where the park comes all the way to the street.
Bleeding heart. To me, this looks a lot more like one of its other names -- Dutchman's breeches.
I like the light coming through the stems.

Jonquil.

Large apple. Not sure if this is a crab, or a "regular apple." Such lovely trees.....

The more northerly of the two entrances to the park off 7th street.

More scraping.....

Sheesh!

Ok.
Turning our backs on all this "improvement."
Across the street from the park.........

The rest of this post is closeups of the garden above.
Parrot tulip.

I'd never realized, until seeing the above on "the big screen" that parrot tulips might have "feathers"!!
I don't know if they all do, but this one does......

Fancy clover. Lots of four-leafers!

Tulips.

Grape hyacinth.

Your bleeding heart photo is lovely. The photos of the flowers in the garden are just gorgeous.
Thanks. I need to try to get closer to a bleeding heart and see if I can see what's going on under the pink bits. It's all kind of a blur and I'm curious......
Aren't those tulips nice? I was especially tickled to see the "feathers" on that parrot tulip. I'd never seen them before. :-)
Isn't it nice of people to grow these lovely flowers for us to enjoy??? :-)
