May 3

.

Another look at that nice pink dogwood.

An embellished house. (Note small Budha? beneath right-hand sidelight.)

Very cute little house, which happens to be for sale.....

Spotted this very small bug on our patio. It was about an eighth of an inch in diameter and appeared almost round to my naked eye.

Magnified it looks disturbingly like a tick. Ick. Any entomologists in the crowd? It was bright red, just as in these pics......

Fallen wisteria blossom.

I suspect these of being maple, but am not sure.....

The house for sale is very cute. I'm curious to know what that bug is too. It's incredibly red!

Thank you, Steph, I did, indeed. :-)

Hoping the same for you! :-)

I wished that house had been open -- I would have wanted to go inside. I would have had to run Wilbur home and then go back! :-)

It was that RED RED RED that caught my eye. I could see it on the ground when I was standing up. I hope it isn't some sort of animal blood sucker! Plant "blood" sucker would be bad enough.....

Ick.

If I see it again, I think I'll be mashing it, just on spec! Ick.

I am not a bug hater, but I have no use for ticks. Or fleas. Or mosquitoes. Or yellow jackets...... :-)
