Spent poppies.







I can't remember if this poppy was with the ones above. It looks like the center of the pod is going to look different from the above, so maybe not.....





Spent peonies. Last week's hot weather had us blast through the peonies, rather than lingering as I would have preferred.

The leaves and flowers of this small tree-ish individual look quite lilac-ish.

But I was *right* next to it and didn't smell a thing......
