Major storms were predicted for the 23rd.
We got rain from the first one, but no significant wind or lightning.
The second storm must have gone south of us.
Two of my friends down the hall at work felt the earthquake, but I didn't.....
I walked home on the 23rd, for the first time in a while.
Gingko leaves.
Asiatic lily.
Golden rain tree.
One of its seed pods from last year.
You can see one of its large black seeds, on the right.
The persimmon tree is also raining stuff down on the sidewalk.
First coneflowers of the year.
Giant X in the sky.....
Looking up into a mature linden tree. They smell so good.....
Asiatic lily. I like the edging on the petals.
Daylily shadows.
Apple.

Great pics as always Vicki! My favorites are the shadows and the coneflower. I planted coneflowers a couple of months ago and am very sad to report that they were eaten by the dogs despite the fact that I put a fence up around them. I don't know what it is about certain flowers and plants that they love so much...
Thanks!
I was quite taken with those shadows, too.... :-)
The *dogs* ate the coneflowers??????
You have donkeys, and goats, and the *dogs* ate the coneflowers?????
:-) :-) :-)
We just never know what is going to occur inside their little heads, do we. Silly dogs.
I had one that liked to eat goldenrod plants. I was never aware of him eating the flowers, but he liked the leaves......
He didn't destroy them, but he'd eat a leaf or three whenever he happened by them.
:-)
Oh my gosh. That Golden Rain Tree is amazing. We don't have those down here.
It is amazing. I remembered to take a pic of the whole tree yesterday, so that will be showing up one of these days.
The tree as a whole is very cool, too. Plenty enough yellow to be impressive from a distance.
There aren't very many of them around here, either.
This is the only mature one I am aware of.
