June 8

.

June 8 was another open-window day.

This is what you see if you look down from my office window.

A really hard-to-get-at loading dock, with dumpsters.

After a good deal of backing-up beeping, trucks park and unload.

Sometimes I really wish I had the camera that records sound. The driver of this truck for this delivery was an accomplished whistler. It was a pleasure to listen.

Lunchtime walk.

Poppy.

Geranium.

Spent peonies.

The center of that poppy was divine. :) I could just hear the whistling as I read your post...

Gotta love poppies. Like iris, there is more and more and more to look at......

Thanks Orange for having the patience, to take the time and for having the ability to get close ups such as this. They are often overlooked until seen this way and then they're magnificant. Its one way of "taking time to smell the roses"

You are most welcome. I agree entirely about taking time to smell the roses -- or to look closely at their interior bits.....

I never really paid attention to the fact that flower bits come in so MANY different shapes, etc, until I started using the macro focus on the camera........

:-)

Sometimes people say that it's best to "put down the camera and really be there," but I know I see more when I'm using the camera.

At the time, and, especially for the closeups, when I get the pics home and see them "on the big screen."
