The Relax Station has a very nice garden.
Love hollyhocks.
I don't know what this is. Pointy leaves, not rose-y.....
Datura. Love the curls.........
Here's one that is fully open.
Bee balm. Look at her foot, hooked on the flower.....
Nasturtiums.
I had no idea all this was going on in here!
They have round leaves.....
Moving right along.
Sprinkler in front of Ann Arbor School of Yoga.
This would be why I almost always walk on Washington instead of Huron.....
Asiatic lilies, as tall as I am.
Milkweed.
Clematis.
Daylilies.

It's so amazing to see how different our seasons are in your photos. Nasturtiums were spent here in April, Hollyhocks and Clematis in May--but Daturas love our summer sun. How envious I am that you get them all at once.
I have only grown nasturtiums once (a long time ago).... I kinda think they will go all season. They are annuals, here.
It's always interesting to travel north during, say, lilac season. :-) That's the way to get a loooong season. :-)
I really think that "average Michigan weather" is perfect. Average high in winter is 20, average high in summer about 83, with lows in the low 60s.....
Not too wet, not too dry......
Now if we only just HAD that average weather all the time, instead of all the swings and bursts and blips.................
:-)
Two more of my favorites (I know, I must sound like a broken record)... hollyhocks (a new love here in New Mexico) and nasturtiums. Unfortunately, two more that Whisky loves to eat. He's a flower and plant eatin' machine.
I'm 99% sure that nasturtiums are edible for people. I am pretty sure I've seen them in magazine pics in salads....
I think they are supposed to be peppery....
Hollyhocks? I don't think I've ever seen them talked about as edible, but who knows. :-)
My grandmother had a lot of hollyhocks, when I was a kid. Enough so we could take them and make "dolls" out of them..... :-)
