- Helen Frankenthaler is an artist who does abstract prints. One is called "I Need Yellow." I love contrast, and I love saturated color. When choosing a blog name, I tried "iloveorange" which was taken, and then I remembered Helen and went for ineedorange.

Pumpkin pie for breakfast is really an excellent idea.
I couldn't remember when we started having it, so I asked my mom yesterday.
The story goes like this.......
In 1967 we moved from Michigan to Kansas. My parents' parents and siblings all lived in Indiana, so we came back to Indiana as often as possible, especially for holidays.
We usually drove through the night (it's a long way from Kansas to Indiana.......).
One year we arrived so early on Thanksgiving morning that we didn't want to wake relatives, so we stopped for breakfast near their
house.
The restaurant was filled with the delicious scent of baking pies.
My mom told our server she though it smelled wonderful, and was told that some of the pies were out of the oven...........
We had pumpkin pie for breakfast that morning, and have had it every Thanksgiving morning ever since. Even when we have been in hotels, we've managed to scout out pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving breakfast.

I wish I could leave comments on your art blog!!! I have tried many times, and while blogger doesn't give me an error, it doesn't put up my comments, either.....

I just tried again, and when I click on "publish" the leave-a-comment window refreshes, but my comment has apparently gone into the bit bucket, because it doesn't show up. Same thing when I click on "preview"....
I see that others can comment, but I can't seem to.
I hope you see this here ... I LOOOOOOOVE what you've done with that vapid pearl earring girl. :-) Love the magical earring in the first one, and the one with the moose antlers, glasses, and cornrows with little pink bows made me laugh out loud!!!!!

Sorry Vicki 'bout my blog comments thingy being so tempermental and thanks for your comment here and efforts to comment on mine.
I don't know how to fix it and blogger help dosn't help. It's had problems from day 1 with another lady saying she couldn't comment but i thought it was because she didn't have a blog so i said to try by hitting anonymous but guess it didn't work because she hasn't commented yet and i'd feel pushy to ask her if she tried again...also my typing is too pale and sometimes i can edit and fix that but other times no so i don't even try to type anything on my art blog much anymore.
My dd tried to fix it a few months ago and said it was because i was leaving it in the edit mode and shouldn't so i logged off which i had never done before. Then it wouldn't let me back in even to my other blog saying wrong pw. and while she was fixing things lost all my bookmarked favs and re-arranged all my things in a way i don't like but am stuck with as we're so 'puter illitimate.
I do have a g'son who's gradually showing me photoshop things but he knows nothing about blogger. Now i have to go to google chrome to upload successfully but can't get anywhere else from there and end up so frustrated i just go make more art. Whewww.
I'm thinking one day i should just start over again with a new one. But i've already abandoned 3 or 4 blogs so loathe to do it again.
