November 20, West Park

.

Most of the fencing which discouraged people from visiting West Park while they had it all torn up has been removed.

I had no idea the new version of the park would have a pond.  I foresee many happy wet dirty dogs.  And children, I suppose.

Looking west from inside the park.

Looking east from in front of the band shell.  They have built seating into the side of the hill.

Sunset reflected in downtown buildings.  The tallest one is Tower Plaza, which we have seen many times.

Looking west, again.

Looking south.  Interesting clouds, upper left, and interesting tree, lower right.

Looking west, again.

One last look east.

How exciting to have a pond - that'll be fun and beautiful. :) Love that curlycue tree... very cool. Have a great week Vicki!

I was so surprised to see the pond!

I knew that part of what they were doing was about water run-off management, but was surprised to see the pond.

It will give many future photo-ops, I'm sure. :-)

(concentrating on the good aspects, but still wondering about mosquitoes in the back of my mind)

Loooove that tree. It is marked for removal, which, I presume, means it is dead..... I'll take more and more pics of it, as long as it is there.

I've never noticed a tree with such ... square angles! I hope it takes them a while to get to it....

Wishing you a great week, too!
