Oh my.
We knew that Fifth Ave. was blocked, between the post office and the library, but we didn't know it had become part of the AnnArborsbad cavern...............
This was taken through the chain-link fence which is now at the edge of the post office parking lot.
When we've looked into the cavern before, we've usually been behind the library, pretty much where the yellow tree is that is just to the left of the red-brick library (which occupies the upper right corner of this image).
I'm glad all these people have jobs, but can't think this is a good idea. There is an above-ground parking structure exactly one short block west of this location. Which, it announces, has hundreds of spaces open, mid-morning on week days.......... If they can't fill an above ground structure, why do they think they will fill this?
Would *you* park down there? I wouldn't...............
Ok, cleansing breath.................................
Fall, as seen from my office window on a cloudy day.
A last look at the old-style packaging. I am not fond of the new package. I don't want to carry that many pieces around all the time (five is a good number; I don't need 12 or however many are in the new packages!).
Looking down, from my office window, in the rain.
One of my friends at work arranged Choctoberfest. We all brought chocolate............... This is Steve and Deb's gorgeous 9000-calorie chocolate mousse pie.
(the food stylist decries windowless flourescent-lit spaces.........)
My own much more humble entry -- the brownies I used to make all the time -- 30 years ago when I was skinny and could eat such things (and didn't live with people who don't like nuts).
They are just as delicious as I remember.........
Natural light. Much better for pics!
