October 27

.

The 27th was another very windy day.

Those of you who have been visiting for a while may remember this big tree.  If I leaned way into the window, in my previous office, and looked way east, I could see this tree in the horizon.  Here it is, from the new office.

On my way home now.

Basil seeds.

Kinetic sculpture, newly on top of the funeral home on Fourth Ave.

Another rat house.  I'd never seen this sort of decoration before.

Swamp(?) maple, up close and personal.

The clouds were so thick and stewy! :) Love the basil seeds - co-ol. And the rat house - very clever. :) I really do miss the red of maples here... thankfully our Bradford pear will fill in... it's just now starting to change color. :D

I love the house with the rats on the steps. I have some of those but mine are of cats.....lol

Clouds are in the category of things that are interesting to me because they change and change and change....

I'm enjoying having a window that offers a decent view of them.....

I am always interested by the myriad ways nature does a thing. The many different modes of locomotion used by fishes. They many ways flower parts are arranged. Ditto seeds....

I'd never taken a pic of basil seeds before the 27th.......

I had never seen that sort of decoration applied to exterior stairs. I'm sure the rats are glad to be a world away from your cats, Lucky! :-)

Almost all the maples are bare now. I, too, am glad for Bradford pears, which will prolong our color for a bit. :-)
