Spotted when walking along 5th Ave toward work.
Suspecting that the critter who did this may have caused the demise of the branch.

I think that's from a borer beetle?
Something like that, I bet.
All of our ash trees have been killed by the emerald ash borer. So any time I see something like this, I suspect that gorgeous but deadly creature.
I don't know what kind of tree this limb fell from.....
I wonder about the black spots that are apparently at the ends (or the beginnings?) of lines. Wonder if that's where the egg was laid..... Or..... ??
I like it. Looks like an abstract wood carving.
Thank you for stopping by my place today and sharing your thoughts and feelings with me on the 'holiday' season. Feels good to know you're not alone, doesn't it? *smile*
BTW...back when I wrote Christmas cards at all, I finally gave up any pretense of getting them out in time for Christmas delivery and instead opted for the New Year's card that could arrive any time in the first two months. Helped relieve a little of that pressure.

I was thinking it looked like petroglyphs on stone..... :-)
You are most welcome. It is good to know that those of us who don't feel the way everyone else feels are not alone. :-)
New Year's card -- excellent idea!
I had a friend who sent out valentines rather than Christmas cards. I always thought that was brilliant. :-)
