.
The 22nd turned out to be a pictureful day.
I meant to wear boots, but put on the faithful tennies out of habit.
It was kinda slushy.
I was a bit damp after walking from the library to work.
Another look at my office coleus. This color is just as the camera (and I) remember it.
One of those "look at it all the time but don't see it" things.
Love the design of this fan-protection thingie on the back of my office computer.
Cleaned up.
On my way out to lunch. Picnic table in front of my office building.
Walking through Nickels Arcade.
Painted by the same artist who painted decorations on my bank.....
My wintertime "usual" at Amer's; -- tabouleh and spinach-lentil soup with rye bread. (in hot weather, I switch the hot soup for gazpacho)
Done eating. Looking through the window at my next destination.
The art supplies are on the second floor.
Look at all the sketchbooks! I want one of each, please.
Oooh, and, definitely, one of each of these................
And one of each of these, too!
Not too many things locked up, but these were.............
Walking back to work.
Very monochromatic, after the art supplies, so we'll have to pay attention to more subtle color -- look at all the different gray-greens in Tower Plaza's windows......
Well now. Here's some color!
I have no idea what these are, but they are certainly *RED*!

The slots in our external hard drive are a mixture of holes and slots. They are actually Morse code spelling out the name of the product.
"Not too many things locked up, but these were........."
It was just recently that I learned many places won't sell spray paint to anyone under 18. Somehow I doubt that really decreases the grafitti much.
Ooooooh! Aaaaaaw! What a beautiful post, Vicki. Thank you for sharing all of the beauty that you see every day. You really do have a knack for seeing color and beauty everywhere you go.
I LOVE the pencils!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy, Happy New Year to you and yours. And an extra special hug to Wilbur. xoxoxo
Love the Morse-code choice for perforation! I am ignorant enough that I would never have recognized it as such. Love the use of old-fashioned high-tech on new high-tech........
I didn't look closely, but I think those cans were $9 each. (!!!) Spray paint is much less at a big-box........
It occurred to me to wonder, later, if it is less toxic or something........ Regular spray paint is seriously horrible stuff. THe propellants are just awful.
The sprayer can (and SHOULD) wear a respirator, but one is still unleashing all that horror on the planet.......
THis is one reason I want to go digital with the "spraying" and layers and all.
I suppose this may be the only spray paint available in downtown Ann Arbor........ But still, agreeing 100% with you that graffiti is unlikely to be lessened because this paint was locked up.
Thank you, Justina, for the kind thoughts. :-)
Looking for color is sort of a survival tactic. :-) I really neeeed it, and at this time of year the outdoor environment is so ... gray&brown................
I can be stopped dead by the towels in Target, in "the bleak mid-winter"..... :-)
The art-supply store is like candy.
:-)
"One of each, please!"
:-)
The happiest of new years to you and yours, as well.
:-)
