- I need orange
- Helen Frankenthaler is an artist who does abstract prints. One is called "I Need Yellow." I love contrast, and I love saturated color. When choosing a blog name, I tried "iloveorange" which was taken, and then I remembered Helen and went for ineedorange.

I can't believe how cold it is in much of the country right now... we're quite fortunate here in ABQ... we're looking at temps in the low 60s again tomorrow.

My daughter is standing up for one of her friends next weekend, and like an idiot I volunteered to hem the dress to save her $30.
Bad idea. It has an inner slip thing as well as the outer part, so it's been like hemming TWO dresses, AND it's got this overlapping thing on the front that goes down to the hem, so it's really been like hemming 2.25 dresses..............
And then I discovered that the fasteners were all sewed in with one thread and about two stitches!
My "copious spare time" has been eaten alive by The Dress........
But I believe I finished the sewing last night, and I am hoping that once I press all those hems tonight I will never have to look at the thing again.

MUCH (*MUCH*) rather be messing with pictures!
I enjoy sewing, but for it to be on something that will never be worn again, with a goal of not being able to see any of the stitching......... Dumb. $30 would have been cheap.

Oops, lost in the dress, I meant to mention that it is sunny again today, huzzah!
The cold much easier to take when it is sunny!
Last evening it wasn't windy. I walked home from work, and didn't get cold at all. My nose was a bit cold, but really, it was a fine walk.
