lunar eclipse tonight

.

Did you know that there is going to be a lunar eclipse tonight?

I didn't, until my daughter sent me this NASA article on the solstice eclipse.

It's not at a very convenient time (totality at 3:17 am, EST), and, here in Michigan, the chance that we'll have clear skies to see it is ... low, statistically speaking. It is clear right now, though, so ....

Those of you in Arizona and New Mexico, who get more clear skies at this time of year, are more likely to get a clear view...........

I'm feeling soooo guilty for not setting the alarm and getting out there and watching it last night.

Alas, to be completely honest, I'm in hibernation mode... I suppose you know what that means...

I did see some amazingly beautiful photos of the eclipse today though. Wow.

I probably wouldn't have gotten up and watched it, either. :-) I need my sleep. :-)

But when I got up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night I did look out the window. At a gray cloudy sky. :-) It was light gray, rather than the dark sky of summer, but no visible moon......

I do know what you mean about hibernation mode. For me, its most salient aspect is "going to bed right after dinner."

I WISH it meant I slept well during the night!
