Walking on a sunny day.

Here's an icy driveway we need to traverse (seen at top, above, too).

The ice has interesting edges -- and it makes walking need to be a ... conscious ... activity.

At the top of the pic (down the hill and across the street) is the neighborhood park I used to visit with the kid, when she was very little. 

The park had a nice, tall, wooden play structure in those days. She could climb all the way to the top before she could walk (11 months-ish).  (I climbed immediately behind, holding on to her overall straps, but she never even started to fall.)

That play structure, alas, was deemed unsafe. It was removed, and replaced with a low and boring structure.

I'm glad they had the nice interesting play structure when we were in need of such things!
