At the bank, parked next to a very shiny black car.
Look at the way the yellow line jigs and jogs as the black car's parts go in and out.....
Forsythia across the street from my office.
Conditions were perfect for these pics -- not raining, no wind, no bright sun.....
All this yellow does my heart good, after weeks and weeks of gray/brown monotony.
The change from gray/brown has become very rapid. After all those weeks of monochromaticity, things are changing on a daily basis now.
Walking home from work. Forsythia.
The ones above were pruned. Forsythia is not fond of attempts to shape it. It wants to decide its own shape.
Daffodils.
A big clump of forsythia, which has been left to its own devices. This is the shape it wants.

Yep. LOVE that *yellow* in my environment!
I think of late March - April as YELLOW, late April - May as PINK, late May - June as PURPLE (iris), and July as ORANGE (daylilies).
:-)
Justina, I managed to delete your comment about forsythia being a sure sign of spring in Maryland.
Sigh.
Still getting used to this comment-moderation thing.........
I apologize!
