Greener and greener.
Flowering crab apple. In my mind, this is the essence of May.
A short viburnum break. Love the scent.......
Back to crabs.
Tulips.
More crabs.
Redbud.
Dandelion.
Fox squirrels are much less skittish than the other kinds we have around here. They are much bigger, too.
This one was messing around within six feet of me until I walked away.
It was digging, but given the mouthful of grass, perhaps it wasn't burying something.
Or maybe it was, and the pulled grass is to delude anyone who might be looking to dig up its treasure......
Mature magnolia in full bloom.
And another.
Lilac! We have lilacs!
Azalea.
Violets.
For almost 30 years we had toy-crazy corgi dogs. I suppose, after almost two years, it's time to get rid of the boxes of semi-dead toys.
And dead balls. [sniff]

Yay, lilacs!!! Doesn't all of the color right now just make you feel so happy and alive?! :)
So far, the exuberance has been tempered by the rain, rain, rain, rain, and, then, some days, there's been rain.........
:-)
I'm not complaining -- I'd surely rather have too much rain than not enough. (Noting that my opinion is shaded by the fact that we live at the top of the hill, rather than at the bottom!)
