Pink anthers..... Curled leaf tips....
This is a big tree, in front of the downtown post office.
Look how the anthers are pink, but the pollen inside is beige. When the pollen is ready, the pink is no longer exposed (turned outside in, I'm guessing). (as always, click on a pic to embiggen)
On the way home, I stopped in the Ann Arbor Art Association (or whatever it's calling itself today). One of my buddies had a drawing in an exhibit, or so I thought. If it was still up, I didn't find it.
The main show was of high school art.
