Closeup of the horizon, from my office window. This is probably about as leafy as it's going to get.
LIke this better than my last attempt, but wish the foreground weren't quite so blown out.
Remember this persimmon, from last fall? Here it is, dried up, but still with some color.
On the way home.
Peony.
Clover.
I never saw the bug, until I got it up on "the big screen."
Elderly picnic table.
Big bumble. On ... sweet peas? I couldn't smell anything, but this certainly looks like peas....
I'm always pleased when the camera catches something like this bee's fur coat.
Hosta.
Most of the poppies I've seen this year have been sorta pathetic. This one was in good shape.
After the petals fall off, they look like this, until the stamens fall off, too.....
Thistle.
Clover.
Interesting, that the clover and thistle have very similar colors, despite being so different, otherwise.

Your photos are lovely. I'm amazed that you managed to get one of the bee!
Thanks!
I wasn't TOO close, and the bee was pretty focused on the flowers.
That second image is a very tight crop, which makes it look like I was closer than I really was.
:-)
Love the thistle and the clover. And the bee. Oh, and the elderly picnic table too. I love your perspective on the world! :)
Thanks, Justina!
I am so glad you are coming along. :-)
I think of myself as wandering through my life, and my world, saying "Hey! Look at this!" -- pretty much incessantly as I meander along.
:-)
I like having someone to share it with. (I have been known to get complete strangers to look at things........... :-) lol........)
I am definitely *looking* better, now that I take pics and blog them all the time. When I don't see something interesting, I actively TRY to find something........... And often find that I can.....
And it may be something I really like that I wouldn't have noticed at all, if I hadn't been seeking..........
We went to Europe in 1985. It happened to be in June, when Wimbledon was happening in England. Whenever Wimbledon rolls around, I think about being in Europe that time..... This morning, as we watched Serena put someone in her place while we ate breakfast, I told my honey that I was sorry I hadn't had a digital camera back then -- we'd have SO many more pics!!!!!!!!!
:-)
