.
The cemetery is closer to our house than the church or the funeral home.
We took the back roads.
It was a gorgeous day -- 76, blue, breezy.
The cemetery is large, with pleasant prospects.
Most of the cemetery requires the markers to be flush with the ground, to facilitate mowing.
This little guy was sunning on one of the markers. He(?) wasn't very big (2.5 inches, from nose to tail?), but was way bigger than the itty bitty ones I saw in Ann Arbor earlier this year.
Going home.
I'd go quite a ways out of my way to drive on deserted country roads, rather than crowded expressways.
We each took a rose home with us.
I essentially never use the flash, but sometimes it turns itself on.
Here I've cut off almost all of the burned-out parts, and rather like what's left.....
Not as dramatic as the prev; this is what I usually aim for.
Outside, real life. A neighbor's phlox, rather than hot-house roses.
