August 20

.

Saturday.

Farmers' market.

I like the way they've mixed up the green and yellow squash.  Look at the big boxes of tomatoes on the floor.

More and more kinds of tomatoes (with a tiny glimpse, lower left, of the ones on the floor).

Flowers.

Lunch.

Walking, later.

Hosta.

Cosmos.

Black-eyed Susan-ish stuff.  Lots of it.

There a certain symmetry to a golden bird eating the seeds of golden flowers....

Goldfinch.

Hydrangea.

Japanese anemone.

Phlox.

Incipient acorn.

Justina, I think I accidentally deleted your comment. Duh.....

Sorry!

We have a really good farmers' market. I'm glad my daughter gets me up and gets me going over there....

:-)

That was a new kind of bread, for us, from our favorite bakery. It was gooooooood.

Great photos! Just luscious.

We're in such a huge drought ... and heat wave still. It's taking its toil. In fact, right now it's 7 p.m., and it's 100 degrees. Tomorrow is supposed to be 110.

So we *really* appreciate your bounty.

Jennifer

Most of July, here, was way hotter than average, and rather dry, too.

But NOTHING like it has been in Texas!

Our last several weeks have been lovely (if infested with mosquitoes).

Sending you some cool rainy vibes, Jennifer!

I'm glad to share the bounty that results from our beautiful Michigan weather.

I always think that if we could have our average weather, every week, it would be perfect here. Never much hotter than 80, never much colder than 20, with the right amount of precipitation.....
