Like icicles hanging off the gutter, condensation on windows is Bad, but Interesting.
This is the shot I was aiming for.
I don't like the above nearly as much as this:
I'm hardly ever sorry that the camera makes the decisions about where to focus. Sometimes it picks something I didn't mean it to pick, and I like its choice better than mine!
Closeup of above.
Looking out the front window, on a sunny autumn day.
Saturday sky, in front of the library.
Looking out the windows at the east end of the library. More blue sky and clouds, reflected in the pond.
Leafless trees, behind cattails. If I tilted the camera down, from this position, we'd see the pond at the bottom.
On the 22nd we finally got the last of the storm windows up. It takes a lot longer when I wash the windows (storms, inside and out, and the outside of the permanent windows). And is a lot more work, too! But I'm glad for cleaner windows, when I'm trying to take pics through them.
