Waiting to turn left, from 7th Street onto Huron.
The Street-Eater Cometh.
In front of the library, looking west.
Turning the camera sideways, and looking a bit higher, it's a much more pleasant view.
I get a LOT of email each week, asking (or exhorting!) me to write and urge congress people, senators, government employees, business people... to do things.
This week, one of those emails asked us to take pics of crumbling infrastructure, and send them ... somewhere. This is certainly crumbly infrastructure, and I would very much rather that my tax dollars were spent on domestic infrastructure than on bombs. I'll send them this pic, when I find their email and see where I'm supposed to send it.
In my office, enjoying my view. Watching the colors change on that hill....
My tea, with a maple leaf I picked up on the way to work.
On the way home, now.
Aren't these cool? We have a lamp, in about this shape, that serves this function. It is covered with crumply brown paper, rather than stone. I like ours just fine, but if we had all the money in the world, perhaps I'd get the stone one on the right. (Or maybe not -- imagine how heavy it is, and what a number it might do on the floor!)
Anyway, gorgeous, yes?
A closer look.
The leaf I picked up on the way home.

Ahh... maple leaves. I love the shot of the leaf with your tea. And the shot of the leaf on your keyboard. :)
Thanks.
I have them taped to my fridge at home, too.....
:-) :-)
Really?! I'm smiling... that's really neat. :)
Yes, really. :-)
I think of them as temporary art.....
