The night of the 4th/5th was the coldest we've had since last spring.
Frosty.
The frost was interesting -- sugary. Very square crystals.
Farmers' market. Carrots and parsnips.
Cabbage.
Winter squash.
.
Peppers!
Black radishes, and I bet the white ones are daikon.
After I got home, I wondered why I didn't buy a black radish. I always wonder what they look like inside, and what they taste like, but when I'm in picture-taking mode, it never occurs to me to just buy one and find out. Maybe next time......
Greens that will be available all winter.

I have a feeling I would eat way way better if I lived where you are. ;-)
Especially if your daughter lived at home and chivvied you out into the frosty morning to go to the market. :-)
Left to my own devices, I would be much more slothful..........
:-)
Sunflower shoots? That's new to me. We have sunflower shoots sprouting up EVERYWHERE thanks to Leonard (our ground squirrels). :) They're everywhere I tell you! :)
Black radishes... interesting. Our purple carrots were orange on the inside. :)
I'd never seen the sprouted sunflowers before, either. Beans, of course, and radishes, yes, but sunflowers? Maybe we'll have to try them some time.....
I still haven't cut the black radish. Our Saturday and Sunday were full of running around....
Maybe this evening. I am eager to see what it looks like inside. :-)
