.
About an inch of snow, overnight. This was taken early enough that the street light is still on (hence the pink light in the intersection).
Yesterday we saw tracks here. No tracks, yet, when this pic was taken.
Our tulip tree.
The neighbors' serviceberry.
At this time of year I surely wish we all painted our houses in Caribbean colors!
It's pathetic that this is "the colorful house" in the neighborhood!
Nearing the farmers' market. Someone brought a big dog.
I don't think I've ever been to the farmers' market in January, before. It was very different from August. Or April, for that matter!
Lots of people had eggs. And baked goods. And jams. There was cheese, and yogurt.
There was some produce, some of which had been grown in a greenhouse (salad makings!) We bought eggs, butternut squash, and russet apples. I am very grateful to the people who produce food for us, and am glad to support my neighbors who do so (even if it means venturing out into the cold, earlier on a Saturday morning than I'd like to be abroad).
At 10:40, it snowed hard.
At 11:30, it was bright, blue, and WINDY.
You'd think I'd remember by now that all video is horizontal. But no.
I took this so you could see how fast the clouds were moving, and you can see that, even with it sideways, so here it is........
Myrtle on the front steps.
Blooming!
Flags at the library, in the sunshine.
I like the way this represents a sunny day in winter. The sun is SO bright, it can be hard to see anything else........
Still very windy.
Oak Valley Drive, red-berry bushes, and the sculpture in front of the library.
The pond east of the library.
Mostly, but not quite all, frozen.
