On Mondays I worked from home.
I worked on the 30th. I walked late in the afternoon.
Many things in my life will stay the same.
I will still walk the dog.
The sky will still be winter-time gray, much of the time.
The sun will still come out,
beaming through the trees.
The landscape will still be monochromatic. Mostly.
The sky will still be blue behind the clouds.
The sun will still go round its daily route through the sky.
I had realized, in the middle of the night, that I had not emptied one drawer in my desk, so I went to the office after 5:30, when I thought I'd be able to park at the building. Hah. Every legal slot was taken. I parked in a "gold" slot -- for rich people who pay twice as much as the extortionate rate everyone else pays -- "enforced 24/7."
I ran in, chatted with co-workers for just a moment, tossed all the drawer stuff in a couple of cloth bags, saw this out the window......
Wow. Am I getting amazingly appropriate skies, or what?
I'm going to miss that window..........................
Parking enforcement is sporadic, I thought it unlikely that I'd get ticketed, but still -- it was annoying to have to think about it, and to rush........
I essentially never park downtown (I walk or take the bus), so I think that on those rare occasions when I want to park down there, I should be able to! Easily, and without worrying about the 1% being annoyed at me for taking one of their gold spaces...........
No ticket, whew.
