April 25

.

 A gorgeous day.

Horse chestnut.

Looking north-northwest at Burton Tower.

Looking north from the diag.  Rackham in the distance.

Flag on top of the Union.

Evergreen, preparing to fruit.

I didn't look carefully at the tree, to decide if this is a crab apple or a cherry.  (Cherries have smoother, redder, bark.)

There are a few of these in one yard.  They bloom later than others of their ilk, and are always buzzing with honeybees.

Hmmm.  We're not the neatest people, but we don't usually have this much clutter on our back steps.

Meet Clarissa

and Bo Blue Jay.  (Or maybe that should have been "Bo and Clarissa" -- we can't tell which is which.)

They have a nest in mind, right over our back stoop.   They are very good at collecting sticks, but not so good at making a nest out of said sticks.

On the 25th they had been working, pretty diligently, for over a week.
