And what, you may ask, is going on with our robins? I was sure hatching had occurred, as I saw the parents feeding ... someone. I have to get a ladder, to get up to see into the nest. I hate to bother the parents, who do not like me to get so close, so I don't do it often.
I am very pleased to report that all four eggs hatched! Here are the baybees, in all of their nearly-naked glory.
So impossibly fragile! Transparent skin, only the very wispiest of incipient feathers......
