May 5 -- the rest of the day

.

Running errands.

On the 5th there was a free "recycle your electronics" event.

They have done this several times, and are completely organized and efficient.  You drive into the high school parking lot, and are directed to a short line.  They have dozens of volunteers, who take all the old electronic stuff out of your car and put it on pallets.  The pallets of stuff are eventually wrapped up and put into trucks.

We were getting rid of the old ink-jet printer, and a pre-usb keyboard and mouse.  I'm keeping the (very old) computer, because it's the right height for me to rest my feet on under the desk.....

We had never done this before.  We were very impressed by how fast it went.  It didn't take 15 minutes, from entering the parking lot to leaving it again.

Look at all the elderly computers!

And crt monitors and tvs.

I'm glad to have that old printer out of the house!

It was a very nice day.

Tiny red maple leaf.

Dandelion, gone to seed.

Thank goodness for the camera's automagic focus.  This thing was blowing all over the place.  I'd never have been able to focus on it quickly enough, if I'd been doing the focusing!

Those camera guys at Panasonic....  They know what they are doing!

New needles, on some sort of evergreen tree.  It looks like all of the new needles were inside that case thing.

Love the curves............

Japanese-maple colored house.  With Japanese maple.

Park, with dandelions.  All of that white stuff in the grass is dandelion seed heads.

Alium.

Some anthers open sooner that others.  Mama Nature is pretty smart, seeing to it that there is pollen today, and there will be pollen tomorrow, too!

Tree peony.
